Welcome to the website of the Columban Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Office! We work for Catholic Social Justice concerns on behalf of the U.S. Region of the Missionary Society of St. Columban.

amycob.jpg Columban missionaries are Catholic men and women who serve and live in solidarity with the poor in the United States and around the world. We at the JPIC Office support their work through advocacy, solidarity and education--dedicating ourselves to addressing the peace, social justice and care for creation concerns of Columban missionaries and the people with whom they live and minister.

As people of Catholic faith, we are called to raise our voice together with the voices of the people in the world who live at the margins of society as well as for the care for Creation.

Our collaboration with both faith-based and secular, local, national and international groups is essential to the success of the office and the causes we champion.

Undoubtedly, globalization has permanently changed the way in which we relate to the world around us. Consumerism and individualism has, in many ways, come to define and express our realities, aspirations and failures. As people of Catholic faith, we are called to defy these modern assumptions and live according to the Gospel.

We at the JPIC Office continue to reject the global structures that create, maintain and promote policies that perpetuate world hunger, violence, poverty and inequality.

By challenging these structures, we hope to change the lives of millions of poor and vulnerable sisters and brothers in Christ with whom we live and minister and work to heal the Earth.

If you would like to contact us about your work, we would love to hear from you. Here are the best ways to get in touch with us.
