Fr. Andrei Paz, a native of the Philippines, is currently on mission at Our Lady of Remedies parish in the Malate district in Manila, Philippines. The Malate parish has been associated with the Columbans since 1929 and is actively heeding the call of Pope Francis to "hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor."
Our Lady of Remedies is an ecological parish with a variety of social service programs to help poor families in the parish. Among the programs of the parish is a free clinic, which Fr. Paz helps as an occupational therapist providing therapy services to children with disabilities. The Parish also has a Feeding Program that serves approximately 100 poor and elderly individuals with daily lunch.
