Here are just some of the ways you can join us in the work of the Missionary Society of St. Columban. Together, we will spread the Good News of the Gospel and help people suffering from poverty, oppression and exploitation throughout the world.
When you join our Columban Mission Sponsor program, you help the lives of the people Columban missionaries serve throughout the world. As a Columban Mission Sponsor, you put the Good News of the Gospel into action. In partnership with Columban missionaries, Columban Mission Sponsors bring Jesus Christ, in word and sacrament, to people throughout the world. Columban Affiliates
That’s why the Missionary Society of St. Columban has established the Columban Affiliates program in the United States. Columban Affiliates are men and women who gather four to six times a year for a faith-sharing reflection with others possessing the mission spirit. This allows Affiliates to experience the spirit of mission within their situation and social reality while deepening their understanding of mission spirituality of Columban missionaries worldwide. Columban Companions in Mission are lay people and Religious who are engaged in full- or part-time ministry and are willing to help Columbans promote the message of world mission in their communities. As a Columban Companion, you will be presented with opportunities to offer your time and talent as you share with others in the baptismal call to mission. In your retirement, give yourself, and those who benefit from the work of Columban missionaries, a most-precious gift! By enrolling in a Columban Charitable Gift Annuity, you make an irrevocable gift to the Missionary Society of St. Columban through the transfer of cash, certificates of deposit (CDs) or other assets, such as securities or real estate. The annuity may be for one person or two people (a Joint and Survivorship Annuity). In a Joint and Survivorship Annuity, the payments will continue for the life of both parties. The other party may be a spouse or any other person. In return, the Society makes a contractual agreement to pay you a FIXED ANNUAL INCOME-FOR LIFE!
