amywe.jpgAmy began working with the Columbans in 2002 as the JPIC coordinator in Chile, and joined the U.S. Region's JPIC office in October 2003.

Before returning to the United States, Amy was a lay missionary in Chile from 1999-2003. While in Chile, she worked at community centers for women and youth in poor urban areas and as a consultant for a United Nations' pilot refugee resettlement program. Amy's studies include a bachelor's degree in history and minors in Southeast Asian and East European Studies from Arizona State University and a master's degree in history with an emphasis in refugee studies from North Carolina State University.
