My Columban Story

My Columban Story

October 30, 2018

I have been a supporter of this mission since my undergraduates days of the 1970's. My pastor at that time, Fr. Patrick McCaffery. St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Washington, DC, invited a representative to talk about the mission after Mass. I become a member after hearing about the ministry and was moved by the dedication of the priests, brothers and sisters to those in great need and over the years, and have kept me in your prayers.

My Columban Story - Kevin F. Cronin

In September 1967 I started my freshman year at St. Columbans  Seminary  at Silver Creek, New York. It was a scary time for a young kid, and my first time away from home. That week the director of the Columban Fathers, Fr. Boland, had just died at a young age. He was buried in the little graveyard overlooking lake Erie. Over the next year I met many great Columbans. It has been over 50 years since then but I still remember them with fondness.
