Lord Jesus, even as Stephen faced death by stoning,
he asked forgiveness for his persecutors,
following Your example on the cross.
Grant us grace to forgive those who hurt us
and the courage to witness to our faith
even when it costs us dearly.
In a world that sometimes rejects Your truth,
help us speak and live with conviction and love.
May Stephen's example inspire us to see heaven opened
and to keep our eyes fixed on You, no matter what trials we face.
Amen.
