O Lord, You gave Saint Jerome a passion
for Scripture and a fierce love for truth.
Enkindle in us that same fire.
May we read Your Word not only with our minds
but with our hearts.
Let it shape our decisions, burn away our pride,
and lead us ever closer to Christ.
