Hear Your Call

Heavenly Father,
On this joyful feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist,
we thank You for his life and witness.
You chose him to be the voice crying in the wilderness,
preparing the way for Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
Grant us, through his intercession, the grace to hear Your call
and to truly repent, turning our hearts ever more fully to You.
May we, like John, humbly decrease so that Christ may increase
in our lives, and may we always strive to point others
to the Lamb of God.
