Merciful Father, sometimes I cling to habits, fears,
and attitudes that keep me from becoming
the person You desire me to be.
Give me courage to recognize what must change
and grace to welcome the newness You offer.
Make my heart flexible in Your hands,
like fresh cloth ready to receive Your life.
Renew my spirit so that I may love You
more faithfully each day.
