O Key of David,
You open and no one can close,
You close and no one can open.
We ask You to unlock the doors of our hearts
that we have kept closed against You.
Free us from the prisons of our own making —
the chains of sin, fear, and selfishness that bind us.
Open for us the gates of heaven and show us
the path to eternal life.
Come and lead the captive from prison,
freeing those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death.
Amen.
