Lord God,
You gave Saint Jerome a passionate love for Sacred Scripture
and a desire that Your people know Your word.
Give me that same hunger for the Bible.
Open my mind when I read, quiet my heart when I pray,
and help me put Your word into practice.
May Scripture become not merely something I read,
but a living source of wisdom that shapes my thoughts,
choices, relationships, and faith.
Amen.
