Lord Jesus Christ, as You ascended into heaven
before Your disciples eyes, You did not
abandon Your people but promised to remain with us always.
Raise our hearts above fear, bitterness, and distraction
so that we may seek the things of heaven
while serving faithfully on earth.
Strengthen Your Church with courage and joy.
Help us proclaim Your Gospel with humility and confidence
until the day we are gathered into Your eternal kingdom.
