Lord, Your Word is a light for our path.
On this day dedicated to the Holy Scriptures,
open our minds to understand Your truth.
May the Gospel not remain a dead letter,
but become a living force in our lives.
Grant that we may be not only hearers of the Word,
but doers also, casting our nets wide to become fishers of men.
