Lord Jesus, You have shown us that love of God
and love of neighbor cannot be separated.
Place this commandment at the center of our lives.
Help us recognize Your image in every person, especially those
who are poor, lonely, displaced, suffering, or forgotten.
Keep us from limiting our compassion to those who are like us.
Teach us to love generously, forgive readily, and serve humbly.
May our love for You become visible through the love we offer others.
Amen.
