Father of mercy, open my eyes to those who suffer around me.
Do not allow me to become so occupied with my own concerns
that I overlook another person's hunger, loneliness, grief, or need.
Give me hands willing to help and a heart willing to forgive.
May my faith become visible through acts of compassion,
especially when serving someone who cannot repay me.
Through Christ our Lord.
