O Rising Dawn, Radiance of eternal Light
and Sun of Justice, You bring light
to those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death.
As these are the shortest days of winter
remind us of our need for light, we turn to You
who are the true Light of the world.
Dispel the darkness of sin from our lives
and the shadows of despair from our hearts.
As the sun rises each morning, may we rise to new life in you.
Come and enlighten all who sit in darkness
and guide our feet into the way of peace.
