O Root of Jesse, standing as a sign for all peoples
before whom kings shall keep silence, we recognize
You as the fulfillment of ancient promises.
From David's line came our Savior,
connecting us to generations of faithful believers
who waited in hope.
Help us remember that we are part of Your eternal story,
branches connected to You, the true vine.
May we bear fruit worthy of our calling.
Come quickly to deliver us from darkness
into your marvelous light and lasting peace.
