Heavenly Father, Your Son teaches us
that those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Remove every trace of pride from our hearts
and help us recognize that every blessing
comes from Your loving hand.
As we gather around Your altar,
form us into a people whose lives reflect the humility
and compassion of Christ our Savior.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
