Columban Daily Prayer

God of steadfast love,
You gave Saint Charles Lwanga and his companions
the strength to remain faithful even unto death.
When we are mocked for our beliefs
or tempted to compromise the truth,
grant us the courage they possessed.
Purify our hearts from fear and selfishness.
Help us defend the dignity of every human person
and remain loyal to Christ in all circumstances.
May the witness of these holy martyrs
inspire us to live with bold and unwavering faith.
